A newly formed element of the Libyan Army was sent in to quell a clash between rebel fighters on the outskirts of Tripoli in Warshefana and Zawia. Between 12 and 15 people have reportedly died so far in a dispute over control over a major military camp once under Gadhafi control. Heavy gunfire and rocket-propelled grenades could be heard in two areas 30 km and 45 km west of Tripoli as late as 14 November.

Under the command of Brigadier General Abdel Salam al-Hasi, the initial elements of the new army were sent in to regain peace between the warring militias. Initial reports are that fighting has ceased and tribal elders have reached an agreement over control of the base.
OSSI recommends that anyone traveling in Libya stay away from Zawia for the time being until the clashes are fully controlled.
